The planet of peace is a fountain located in front of the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. There is a globe over 21 meters high on the water. It is decorated with images of pigeons – symbols of peace. The sculpture was created in 1982. It was cast from an alloy of various metals according to the design of Tibor Bártfay, Valérie Triznova and Pavel Vaj. The sculpture looks like it was floating in the fountain’s waters. Pigeons fly around the earth, carrying peace to every corner of it.
